Lottie London Got it Covered Concealer Review

Hi lovelies,

We seem to getting through that huge bundle from a few months ago. Here’s a couple more items.

The Got it Covered Concealer is available to purchase from the Lottie London website (see here) as well as Superdrug (here). There are several shades available and they retail for £4.95 each 8ml tube. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £20 with Lottie London and on orders over £25 with Superdrug.

The packaging seems to have had a face lift recently as it bares a slightly different aesthetic to what is seen on the website. The ones I received have a black band design as opposed to the bands being coloured to match the shade inside. The tube is malleable which makes it easier to dispense. It has a sponge tipped applicator for on the go touch ups.

According to the product description, the Got it Covered concealer will cover your imperfections in a pinch. It is a full coverage concealer that is enriched with Vitamin C, it covers blemishes and imperfections without creasing or looking cakey.

I’m not sure how many shades are available in total as there are 8 on the website but none are the ones I received. Of the eight on the website, there is a decentish shade range with a couple of shades for each skin tone. It could be better but it could also be a lot worse. I have 2 shades but as I got them as part of a bundle I didn’t get a choice in what I received. I was sent the shades Fawn and Sable, both of which are too dark for me but when has that stopped me testing products.

The formula offers high coverage and has a good consistency, neither too or too thick that is easy to work with. When swatching on my hand, I noticed that it oxidises quite a bit, changing by at least a shade. Just something to be aware of. The concealer wears well, it blends easily with other products and doesn’t move when set with powders. As you’d expect from a concealer, it does an amazing job at covering imperfections without looking cakey on the undereye or highlighting skin texture. I’m not overly fond of the sponge applicator as I find it the wrong shape and texture but this is personal preference as it does work to blend out your undereye.

concealer only
concealer only close up

Overall, I’m reasonably happy with the Got it Covered concealer from Lottie London, and I only say reasonably because they’re not my shade so I can’t use them. Aside from that, it’s pretty amazing especially if you are on a budget. It does everything you want in a concealer. It conceals and covers without looking cakey, highlighting texture or settling into fine lines. The only downside is that it oxidises so I’d advise getting a shade lighter than you need.
