Made by Mitchell Blursh Book Press’d Blusher Palette Review

Hi lovelies,

It seems like Mitchell is just wanting all MUAs to go broke as he’s releasing some banging products at the moment that are perfect for our needs.

The Made by Mitchell Blursh book is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from their Tiktok shop (here)* and Beauty Bay (here). It retails for £35 but there’s usually some good deals on the company’s Tiktok shop. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay.

The packaging is absolutely stunning but the metallic design makes it awfully hard to photograph. The design is definitely giving disco vibes and I love it. The palette comes in an outer sleeve featuring the same design but it’s not really needed. All product information including the ingredients list can be found on the palette and there’s a good magnetic closure for it so it won’t be falling open. The pans are a decent size with the shade names written underneath. The entire book is quite sleek and compact making it perfect for your professional kit.

This is a 12 pan palette containing some viral press’d blursh shades as well as 5 new shades of your favourite blurshes. According to the product description, this is all you’ll ever need whether that be a splash of colour or a luminous glow. It’s a fair shout, let’s be honest. The shade range features a variety of tradition and unusual colours, with half of them containing reflective particles.

Of course, I had to swatch them and this formula is so soft and silky to the touch. They swiped smoothly producing an even swatch with a single layer. I’m absolutely loving the shades though I’m not sure how many will get used if I’m honest. There’s a good mix of colourful and neutral shades with tones to suit all skin tones I’m sure.

Ok so first thing to note is that this formula is absolutely gorgeous. It’s my first time trying the pressed blursh and honestly I am in love. Aside from being silky, all the shades are highly pigmented yet remain easy to blend. You really don’t need to use much to get good colour but they can be built up for an intense look without any patchiness. They leave you with a soft finish to the skin and those with reflects add a subtle glow to the skin without highlighting skin texture.

I’ve tried this on a few clients now as well as myself and the results have been stunning. I’ve found myself using Milkshake, Thrilljoy and Terracotta 2 ts the most however the lilac shade is absolutely stunning on the skin. I have to admit the dark purple, although gorgeous, almost looks like a bruise on my skin tone. I’m sure this will look fabulous on those with darker skin. There is a slight amount of kickback in the pan for all of the shades but no fallout on the skin.

Shades: for the lovers and night n right over base

Overall, I am over the freaking moon with the Blursh Book from Made by Mitchell and is now a staple part of my kit (psst it fits perfectly into the large case). The packaging is sleek and compact while being quite secure without the outer sleeve. The shade range is a mix of colourful and neutral tones and offers something for everyone. The shades are pigmented, buildable and blendable leaving you with either a soft matte finish or a subtle glow to the skin.
