Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation Review PR

Hi lovelies,

Sorry this is a few days later than usual…the Eras Tour has been kicking our butts in cinemas. I received this from Community x SEEN to test for you but in no way has this impacted the following review. Feel free to see the foundation in action over on our Tiktok (here).

The Max Factor Facefinity foundation is available to purchase from Boots (here), Superdrug (here), Sainsburys (here) and Amazon (here). It retails for £14 and you get 30ml of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 from Boots and Superdrug while Amazon offer free shipping with Prime. Not sure about Sainsburys shipping so best advice is to head in store.

The packaging is the industry standard for a liquid foundation. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a cap that snaps into place. The bottle contains all product information including the ingredients on the back as well as the shade on the bottom. Everything feels well made and secure, even for travel though the foundation is a little too thick to flow smoothly from the pump.

According to the product description, this is a 3 in 1 liquid combines a primer, foundation and concealer for 30 hours of wear. It has an oil free lightweight and breathable formula that offers medium to full coverage and leaves you with a soft focus, airbrush finish to the skin. The foundation contains 3 oil absorbing powders making it touch proof, transfer proof and shine proof for long lasting coverage. It is also heatproof, waterproof and humidity proof as well as offering protection from UV rays and blue light. The foundation is available in 33 shades with a range of undertones to best match your complexion.

First things first, I know it says that it offers SPF20 protection against UV rays but please continue to use sun cream underneath it. You’d need to wear far too much foundation to get that full level of protection so don’t rely on just the foundation. Also as I mentioned above, I received this from Community X SEEN for testing and I requested the shade Warm Sands which is very much not my shade at all. My bad but as it doesn’t change the formula we’re just going to ignore the fact that it looks orange on me.

Brush application
After sponge

Now that’s done with, the foundation itself is an interesting one. It’s a lot thicker than I thought it would be and required a couple of pumps to get enough out of the bottle but it applied easily enough. The foundation is definitely full coverage while blending into the skin nicely without any patchiness or highlighting skin texture. I didn’t really see an airbrush finish after initial application but the finish softened so much using a sponge after the brush. It also works well with other cream and liquid products so you can blend them without the foundation lifting. It did start to settle into some creases before setting but a quick blend before applying powder fixed this problem.

With concealer, contour and powder

Once set into place, it didn’t not move for several hours. Not sure I can attest to the 30hour wear tag as it started breaking down after about 8 hours of wear but it’s not the worst at lasting I’ve tried. I haven’t noticed it becoming cakey at any time. It also sits well under other powder products providing an even base to work on. The foundation feels lightweight on the skin and didn’t cause any skin issues such as breakouts. The only thing I didn’t particularly like about this one is the smell. It’s not overly pleasant but thankfully it dissipates in less than a minute.

Overall, I am really happy with the Max Factor Facefinity foundation despite the shade issues. In fact, I’m thinking I need to go and find my actual shade for daily wear as I can’t get hold of my beloved Smashbox anymore sob sob. The foundation is full coverage, leaves a soft finish to the skin and doesn’t highlight texture or become cakey. Can’t say I care for the smell and I’m not sure it’ll last 30 hours but those are the only issues. A huge thank you to Community x SEEN for sending me this foundation to try.
