Arttitude Cosmetics Cake It! Duo Chrome Water Activated Liners Review

We’ve got a new to us brand today that we’ve been following on socials for about a couple of months.

The Arttitude Cosmetics duo-chrome liners are available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as through their Tiktok shop (here*). They retail for £8.49 each and you get 3g of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £40 from the company website. I ordered through their website and my order arrived within a few days.

The packaging is really cute with my order arriving in a custom branded mailbag which is one of those extra details I love especially with a small business. These additional touches can be found throughout the packaging including the thank you sticker on the ribbon wrapped box. The liners come in beautifully designed black and rainbow box that bares the company name on top and all product information including the ingredients around the sides.

According to the product information, these are designed for use on the face and body to create stunning graphic looks with ease. Simply add a small drop of water and mix for the desired consistency. The liners are pigmented and allow for precise, smudge free application. They are 100% cruelty free and vegan. There are 6 duo chrome shades available and naturally I grabbed 5 of them.

Of course I had to swatch them and honestly they are stunning. It’s my first time working with water activated liners and it took all of 2 seconds to get to grips with them. Sensation is a rose pink with a gold shift while Attraction is a dusky pink with a gold shift. Revolution is a purple that has a blue shift while Ambition is blue with a purple shift. Reflection is green with a blue shift. All of the shades have a gorgeous shift in colour but it’s honestly so difficult to capture. I particularly love Reflection which is such a gorgeous green and blue.

The liners are highly pigmented so you don’t need to paint them on in thick layers and are really easy to work with on the eye. The shades can be used together either layered or blended depending on your needs. They dry quickly and remain in place for hours without moving or settling into any fine lines. Although they don’t crack when painted on thickly, they contract as they dry causing wrinkles in the finish. I didn’t see this when the liners were applied thinly. The liners were also easy to remove and didn’t stain the skin at all.

Overall, I am so, so happy with my purchase from Arttitude Cosmetics and I will certainly be purchasing more from them. I absolutely adore the packaging and all the little extra details that take time and cost money to a small business. The liners themselves are easy to use, highly pigmented and contain a gorgeous colour shift no matter which shade you choose. They last for hours without moving or creasing while remaining easy to remove with no staining.
