Made by Mitchell Bronze Book Press’d Blusher Palette Review

Hi lovelies,

This is finally back in stock after months of waiting. It was that popular upon launch.

The Bronze book is available from the Made by Mitchell website (see here) as well as their Tiktok shop and Beauty Bay (here). The book retails for £35. I’ve found shipping from Tiktok shop is often cheaper than through the website and my orders always arrive within a few days. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay.

The packaging design is pretty much the same as the OG blursh book including that it’s hard to photograph. It has an outer sleeve that has the same design and information as the main palette. All product information including the ingredients can be found on both. The palette itself is double sided and uses magnets to keep it closed. As with the blursh book, it is the perfect size for most makeup kits.

This is a 12 pan palette that features 8 much loved bronzing shades and 4 new exclusive ones. There is a mix of warm, cool and neutral tones to suit every skin tone allowing multidimensional looks to be created. I think all the shades have a subtle shimmer to them but about 4 contain visible reflect particles.

I have a bit of a bone to pick over this one. The product photos, particularly those swatches, are not a good representation of the darker shades in this palette. Honestly they look pretty dark in the photos but in reality are not dark enough for truly deep skin tones. I bought this with one of my regular models/clients in mind and could not use it on her. Bit gutted as Made by Mitchell are a very inclusive brand.

Other than that, I actually really love this. When doing the swatches, the shades felt soft to the touch and swiped smoothly. They only needed one layer to produce an even and pigmented swatch. Aside from the deep shades, the rest should cover the majority of skin tones and there is a clear definition between the shades.

Caution is needed with these on the face. They are pigmented AF and don’t really lose any intensity during blending so use minimally. They are super easy to blend whether worn alone on the skin or on top of a full face. They can be layered if you need more intensity without any patchiness and they work well with other powders. You can use multiple shades together to create custom colouring. On the skin, most shades leave you with a matte finish but the ones with shimmer give you a soft, sunkissed glow to your skin.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the Bronze Book from Made by Mitchell. The only negative for me is that shade issue-either go darker or don’t describe it as suitable for all. Or bring out a darker book like with the blursh book volume 2. It’s a shame as all the shades are stunning and do include a range of skin tones and hues. They are pigmented, easy to work with and blend like a dream.
