Beauty Bay Fiery 2.0 42 Pan Colour Palette Review

Hi lovelies,

Can you believe it’s Christmas Eve already? No matter your plans over the next couple of days, we really hope that you have the happiest of holidays spent in the company of your nearest and dearest. It’s been a tough year for some so please, light a candle and raise a toast to absent friends.

The Beauty Bay Fiery 2.0 42 pan palette is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as through their Tiktok (here*). Other sizes are available but this one retails for £25. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 from Beauty Bay and Prime shipping with Amazon.

The packaging is fairly typical for Beauty Bay’s own brand. We have the traditional matte, black outer box with a satin text design. One thing I love about Beauty Bay-there’s bubble wrap inside the box protecting the actual palette. Have to say I’ve never had a damaged one from them. All product information including the ingredients can be found on both the box and the palette. The palette itself is kind of big and cumbersome to hold but everything feels well made. The lid uses a mantic to hold it closed and there’s a huge mirror on the inside too.

The 42 pan palette contains 24 matte and 18 shimmer shades. It features shades of browns, reds, oranges and golds that form the most perfect fall palette. I absolutely love this colour story as well as the ratio of matte to shimmer shades. The pans are a decent size and depth so it will last you a while (I’ve barely hit pan on my other Beauty Bay palettes).

As with all palettes, I had to swatch this one. All of the shadows felt soft and smooth but the shimmers are even softer than the mattes and almost felt silky. Be careful with pressure though as they can clump if you press too hard. The shadows were all pigmented but some of the deeper tones needed a double layer to produce a smooth, even swatch. The shimmers swiped so smoothly with only one layer.

On the eye, the shadows are stunning. They are honestly so easy to work with which is an achievement for reds. They are highly pigmented but remain super easy to blend and can be layered up without any patchiness to create vibrant looks. The shades work well together to produce a range of gradient blends. The shimmers apply smoothly and blend beautifully. The reflective particles make them sparkle like mad to leave you with a stunning finish.

Although most of the shimmers are really soft, they do last a couple of hours on the lid before they start to crease. It’s an impressive feat on my heavily creased eyes. There’s some kickback in the pan for most of the shades with the shimmers being the worst. Only the darker mattes and shimmers create fallout under the eye. There is a small amount of staining with some of the reds but it goes after a day.

Overall, I am so happy with the Fiery 2.0 42 pan palette from Beauty Bay. It looks just as good in person as it did online and I am in love with this colour story. The shadows are soft, highly pigmented, easy to blend and fairly long wearing. The shimmers are stunning on the eye, full of colour and sparkle.
