Hi lovelies,
Another one from the huge bundle I got a few months ago…I can’t forgetting to post reviews about it.
The Lottie London Gloss’d is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from LookFantastic (here), ASOS (here) and Superdrug (here) when in stock… The glosses retail for £4.95 each and contains 8ml of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Lottie London, Look Fantastic and Superdrug while ASOS is over £40.

The packaging is pretty much the industry standard with some extra Lottie glitz. The tube is mostly coloured silver with the name clear to allow you to see the shade inside. From here, there’s a bit of a difference depending on the gloss ordered. Some have the standard attached doe foot while others have a doe foot wand. I’m not sure if they’ve made them all the same since I ordered or which one came first. I definitely prefer the doe foot wand though. It’s much better for a thin, precise application.

According to the product description, these are a unique gloss-oil hybrid. They are packed with moisturising ingredients to help hydrate and nourish your lips while adding a touch of colour to them. The hybrid formula delivers amazing shine without any of the stickiness. The glosses are available in 7 shades: I ended up with 2 from the bundle so no choice in the matter. Iced is a cool pink and Outshine is a pink shimmer.
The first thing that hits you is the scent. It’s nothing specific, just sweet. Almost makes me think of birthday cake but it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t linger long once applied. The formula is strangely nice. It’s not too thick and sticky but it’s not really oily and slick either. For me, it’s the perfect in-between consistency which makes them comfortable and lightweight. They wear well, lasting around an hour before needing reapplication but they do transfer as all glosses do.

The only negative I really have about them, is the pigment. I know they only add a touch of colour but it’s barely noticeable when applied. Even the shimmer one could have had more shimmer in there as you could hardly see it until you put loads on…and no one wants to wear loads of gloss. I didn’t particularly notice the moisturising properties when worn alone but over lipstick it really does make a difference. I noticed it most with liquid lipsticks since they tend to dry out over long periods. The gloss really did keep my lips hydrated and luscious all night.

Overall, I am so happy with the Gloss’d lip gloss from Lottie London. The gloss itself is pretty good. They add shine without stickiness, last well and are comfortable and lightweight to wear. They don’t have much pigment but I suppose you don’t want too much pigment in a gloss when you’re likely reapplying several times.
