Hi lovelies,
I finally decided to upgrade by much loved Carnival XL Pro palette since I’ve had it so long and took the plunge to get the newer Remastered version as a replacement. Be warned there will be a lot of comparisons between the two and as the OG is my most used palette. this has got a lot to live up to…

The BPerfect Cosmetics x Stacey Marie MUA Carnival XL Pro Remastered palette is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from their Tiktok shop (here)* and Beauty Bay (here). The palette retails for £41.95 which I know isn’t cheap but it is amazing value for money. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £35 with BPerfect and over £25 with Beauty Bay.

The packaging design is very similar to the OG XL Pro palette but it feels like it’s had an upgrade. Both the outer box and the palette have a matte black background like the original xl pro with the brand and collaboration names in white. What makes the Remastered look a bit sleeker, I think, is the use of the rainbow colouring of the text with the gold and satin black details.

The Carnival XL Pro Remastered palette contains 45 shadows-32 matte and 13 shimmer shades. It looks like all but 1 eyeshadow and the three highlights from the OG XL Pro are back in this palette along with some from the original Carnival palette and 1 brand new shade. When comparing the old and new palettes, there does seem to be some differences in the tones and vibrancy of a couple of the shadows. Hopefully its just how they look in the pan.

When doing the swatches, the shadows felt soft and smooth the touch and swiped with ease. Even the lightest shades only needed one layer to pop. As noticed earlier, yup, there are some changes to the tones and vibrancy in some shades. It’s mostly the purple and the black. I’m gutted that they’ve changed the black as that was a much loved shade in the OG until I hit pan. The shimmers are stunning, again pigmented AF and swiped even more smoothly than the mattes if that’s possible.

On the eye, the shadows are fricking amazing. I think I’ve tried a good portion of the shades in there and I have to admit, I’ve not really had any problems with any of them. Each one is highly pigmented and yet remain sooooo easy to blend. They keep their colour fairly well during blending but they can be built up without any patchiness if needed. The shimmers are gorgeous, full of reflective particles, soft and smooth and also easy to blend.
The best thing about this palette…well two things actually. Number one, there was barely any fallout under the eye, like minimal, and 2 the shimmers lasted for hours before they started creasing. I’m talking like 4 hours minimum before they started to crease which is a fricking miracle on me. There was a small amount of staining from the pink and deeper purple but none from the red, blue or purple shimmers. There was also a small amount of kickback in the pan but that’s to be expected.

Overall, I am sooooo happy with the Carnival XL Pro Remastered Palette from BPerfect and Stacey Marie. I love the new design of packaging, it’s still amazing value for money and the changes are minimal. I do wish the black as still black but that is basically my only issue. The shadows are highly pigmented, easy to apply and blend with no patchiness when layered. The shimmers look stunning and last hours without creasing.
