Coco and Eve Like a Virgin Hair Mask Travel Kit Review

We have something a little different for you today with some haircare.

The Coco and Eve Like a Virgin Hair Mask travel kit is available to purchase from Beauty Bay (here). It retails for £12.50 and you receive 60ml of product. You can also purchase the full size kit or the items individually from the company website, LookFantastic, Sephora UK, Boots and John Lewis. You qualify for free UK delivery on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay, on orders over £50 with Coco and Eve and on orders over £20 with Sephora.

The packaging is kind of what you would expect of a travel kit. There’s an outer box that shows everything in the kit along with the instructions of use. Inside, the box is split into sections that hold the two products in place. Unlike the full sized product, the travel one comes in tube with a clasped lid that is easy to store and secure for travel. The tangle teaser comes in its own sealed pouch I assume for hygiene.

According to the description, the Like a Virgin Hair Mask has a 5 in 1 formula to repair your hair from the inside out. It contains a range of ingredients to help to nourish and repair your hair. There’s coconut and Linseed to improve hydration, softness and shine as well as to strengthen the hair. There’s also shea butter and argan oil to help to moisturise, detangle and tame frizziness. Finally it includes fig extract and probiotic extract to protect from free radicals and restore balance. This is cruelty free and vegan.

The formula is very similar to a standard conditioner but it’s slightly thicker though it’s still easy to get out of the tube. It’s best applied to towel dried or damp hair and it’s fairly easy to do so. It feels less greasy than other hair conditioning products but you don’t want to use too much as it does start to dry down during the 10 minutes you let it sit making it harder to rinse. The teaser helps to distribute the mask throughout the hair as well as detangling and smoothing the hair. The mask smells absolutely gorgeous and leaves a lingering scent after use.

I’ve been using this once a week for about a month now and I have to say that my hair is looking and feeling so much healthier than before. I know the picture kind of doesn’t look it as my hair looks greasy-yeah that tends to happen when you don’t rinse it thoroughly-but it feels so much stronger but still softer than before. I’ve definitely had less breakages in recent weeks and although I still have major split ends, my hair is tamer and tangles less. It also looks better when the mask is used with the tangle teaser.

Overall, I am super happy with the Coco and Eve Hair Mask and I will certainly be buying the full size jar. The hair mask does exactly what it says on the box. With regular use, my hair is softer, shinier and more manageable. Not sure there’s anything else to say.
