P.Louise Cosmetics Lip Drip Sparkles Lip Gloss Review

Hi lovelies,

So Tiktok shop managed to sell to me once again with that £30 Mystery Box from P.Louise. I’m sure you saw it as much as I did….Anyway this is one of the products that I received in there.

The P.Louise Lip Drip lip gloss is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from their Tiktok shop (here)*. The Lip Drip Sparkles glosses are available in 20 shades and they retail for £12 each for 3g of product. There is also a non sparkle formula available too.

For once, the packaging is a little on the basic side (not that I’m complaining) but it does still have that essential P.Louiseness about it. The outer box has the standard pink, white and gold colouring and as always contains all product information including the ingredients. I was surprised at the size of the lip gloss component as it’s basically same size of the box.

According to the product description, these are a thick formula gloss with a high shine finish and iridescent sparkle. It has the same benefits of extreme moisture and wet look finish as the original but gives you a “pearlescent pout”. Getting this in a mystery box, I received the shade Bossy and Bright which is a sheer candy pink with gold and holographic pink sparkles. I want to admit here that I’m not the biggest fan of lip gloss so we’ll see how this goes.

As always, I did give it a test swatch on my arm and the colour description is perfect. It is definitely on the sheer side giving it a more natural look on the lips. The pink is there it’s just not giving candy mouth for which I am grateful. There’s also plenty of reflects in there that gives such a pretty sparkle that is really hard to capture on camera. The high shine finish doesn’t help with that either. It’s giving wet look lips vibes.

The formula itself is doesn’t really smell of anything and is really thick. It’s not overly greasy or heavy to wear on the lips but it is very sticky and only gets stickier with wear. Like most glosses, it transfers onto pretty much everything it touches making everything rather sticky. It doesn’t dry out the lips though which is nice particularly over the top of lipstick.

Overall, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me personally with the P.Louise Lip Drip lip gloss sparkles. This shade is so pretty and the rest look very similar online. The formula does what it promises, leaves you with a sparkling high shine finish. It is very sticky though and this is where I have my issues. But aside from that it feels hydrating to wear and not greasy which is always a bonus.
