SOSU Cosmetics BahamaSkin Pink Holographic Peel Off Mask Review

Hi lovelies,

It’s August and that means it time to start prepping for Halloween. It also means that my skin is taking a beating and needs some TLC.

The Bahama Skin pink holographic peel off mask is available to purchase from the SOSU Cosmetics website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here). It retails for £12 and you get 50ml of product. UK shipping direct from SOSU Cosmetics will cost £6 but you qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay.

The packaging is what you would expect from skincare. The mask comes in a squeezable tube that has all product information and directions of use. The cap snaps tightly into place stopping any product leaks as well as it drying out.

According to the product description, the peel off face mask will transform your skin from dull and tired to a healthy radiant glow. It contains antioxidants for that glow and Niacinamide to improve skin elasticity and uneven skin tone. When peeled from the skin, it also lifts any deep rooted grime still lurking in those pores.

before use

The formula comes out of the tube easily enough as it has a fairly runny consistency which has it’s positives and negatives. It can be slightly difficult to control but it does make it easy to apply a smooth, thin layer across the skin. It’s not ridiculously sticky either like some peel off masks can be. Not going to lie, the colour did throw me slightly despite it being in the description. I expected more of a clear mask with glitter reflects but instead it’s more of a pearlescent pink with hints of gold. No glitter (thank god) and the colour does help you see where you’ve already applied the mask. It also smells divine

On the skin, the mask is actually pretty damn good. The formula is really smooth and quite soothing to the skin upon application. It dries relatively quickly when a thin layer is applied. Obviously the thicker the layer, the longer it takes to dry but a thin one will take about 10 minutes. If kept out of the hair and brows, the mask is pretty easy to remove once dry. It can be peeled off in a couple of larger pieces if applied evenly with no gaps. It doesn’t pull at the skin too harshly but it does give your pores a good clear out. It left my skin looking brighter and feeling so soft and hydrated. Although I didn’t have any issues with this mask, you may want to give your face after use as it can leave some glittery particles behind.

after use

Overall, I’m really happy with the Bahama Skin pink holographic peel off face mask from SOSU Cosmetics. Not only is it fairly easy to apply, it does exactly what it says on the tube. It pulls impurities from the pores to leave you with soft, clear and hydrated skin.
