P.Louise Cosmetics In Love with Me Foaming Cleanser Review

Hi lovelies,

With spooky season just around the corner, y’all know I’ve been testing some skincare. This is one I got in a Tiktok shop bundle which you can find here*.

The P.Louise In Love with Me foaming cleanser is available to purchase from the company website (see here*) as well as from the Tiktok shop (here*). It’s also available as part of a bundle that is very reasonably priced (here*). The cleanser retails for £15 and you get 120ml of product.

The packaging….oh the packaging. I really think this is the first time I’ve kind of hated P.Louise packaging. There’s no outer box for the cleanser, it’s just wrapped in plastic which is fine if you don’t peel the label off with it (I almost did). There’s a pump nozzle with an attached heart shaped silicone brush. Now it’s a good idea but in reality is quite awkward. If you use the brush be careful as the top isn’t very sturdy-the nozzle top has come off mine but it still works. The brush head has a plastic cover for cleanliness but it’s awkward to remove and not good on the neck. The pump isn’t the easiest either if you have any mobility problems.

According to the product description, this is a foaming formula designed to cleanse the skin, gently removing makeup, impurities and excess oil to leave your skin feeling soft and looking radiant. It is available in 3 scents: pineapple, peach and watermelon. I got the pineapple one because really it’s the only one I can stand the smell of.

The formula itself is ok but as it smells of pineapple all is forgiven. It’s a liquid in the bottle and dispenses as a foam that maintains that form at least until you get it on the skin. When water is added a further lather is created that lifts any grime easily off the skin. You only need one squirt for a normal cleanse but I’d advise 2 or more for a heavier makeup. My only issue is that it does leave a greasy feel to the skin after use so I always use this first as part of a double cleanse.

On the skin, the cleanser is actually pretty good and it’s certainly been tested thoroughly with some crazy halloween looks. So far it’s removed standard beauty makeup, coloured foundations, water paints, alcohol paints and at least 2 different adhesives. Now I will admit, it’s not the best product for removing some of the above (alcohol paints and glue) but I’m impressed that it can lift them at all. Other cleansers struggle with basic makeup and it didn’t take that much effort to remove the hard stuff.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the In Love with Me foaming cleanser from P.Louise. Aside from the issues with the packaging, the cleanser is quite good. It removes everything it promised too and more. You can also include pros aide, pritt stick as well as water based and alcohol paints. Not bad at all.
