Hi lovelies,
I’m still on the hunt for good skincare to help ease the burden of this year’s halloween series.
The Skin Gym reusuable eye mask is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here) and ASOS (here). Weirdly, the retail prices range from £16-£21 and I can only assume that’s down to import charges or conversion rates. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay and on orders over £40 with ASOS. I don’t even want to think about the costs direct from the company.

The packaging is simple but effective for storing and protecting your reusable eye masks. They come in a plastic case that contains all product information including the directions of use and care. The lid clips tightly into place so it won’t be coming undone in your bag. The patches sit on a thin sheet of plastic which makes it so much easier to remove them from the case.

According to the product description, this is a pair of reusable eye masks that help to revive tired under eyes. They hydrate and cool to help reduce dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. The masks are made from medical grade silicone for comfort and longevity while helping to maximise the absorption of your favourite skincare. They are also cruelty free and vegan.

So honestly, this is a tricky one for me to write because I’m not sure how much credit the eye masks can claim for any improvements to my under eye. To start there is no serum on these masks, not a complaint just a fact, so you need to use other products. In a way I love this as you get to use skincare you already have and love as well as the added benefit of this making the masks reusable. They are easy to apply, stick to the skin well and are comfortable to wear.

I guess they do offer some benefits as I have noticed an improvement since starting to use these despite changing nothing else in my skincare routine. They definitely offer cooling relief and immediately after use you will notice your eyes looking less puffy, brighter and more awake. This isn’t a lasting, long term benefit. Over time, I’ve noticed a slight lightening of the dark circles that I hadn’t seen with my eye cream before I started using these.

Overall, I’m not 100% sure how I feel about the Skin Gym Reusable Eye Masks. Has it really improved my skincare or is it just the skincare? I don’t know. It’s hard to tell when there’s nothing on the eye masks. It’s certainly cheaper than single use masks and they are pretty comfortable to wear.
