e.l.f. Cosmetics 16 Hour Camo Concealer Review

Hi lovelies,

I’m finally getting round to try some e.l.f products…can’t believe it’s taken me this long to be honest.

The e.l.f. cosmetics 16 hour Camo Concealer is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here) and Boots (here). It retails for £7 and you get 6ml of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £35 with e.l.f. and on orders over £25 for both Beauty Bay and Boots.

The packaging is what you’d expect from a concealer. There’s an outer box that contains all product information including the ingredients and a cut out section so you can see the shade. The concealer itself comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator attached to the cap.

According to the product description, this is a full coverage coverage that leaves you with a smooth, matte finish to the skin. It has a crease resistant, lightweight formula that lasts for 16 hours. It is perfect for combination, dry and oily skin and comes with a large doe foot applicator for precise application. The concealer is cruelty free and vegan. There are 26 shades available and for once its not 20 shades of beige. The medium and tan ranges have the most shades to choose from but we also have deep and rich tones too. I picked up the shade warm beige.

On the skin, the concealer is gorgeous. Now I was a bit of an idiot and didn’t use the shade finder on the elf website so I did choose the wrong shade for brightening but it wasn’t too far out. So not a bad guesstimation from using the images online. The concealer is highly pigmented, full coverage and blends evenly into the skin. It did a great job at covering my dark circles but that may have been helped by the yellow tint in this shade. Either way, I have no complaints there.

The formula itself has a good consistency, not too thin or too thick, and feels lightweight on the skin. Once set, you’d hardly know it was there though it leaves you with soft, smooth matte finish to the skin. Although I didn’t test it for 16 hours (just why?), it did last 12 hours at least and it creasing was pretty minimal even after that length of time. It worked well with other products too, both liquids and powder.

Overall, I’m actually really happy with the e.l.f. cosmetics 16 hour camo concealer. It somehow manages to do everything that it claims too. It’s pigmented, full coverage, lightweight, remains easy to blend and cover all your blemishes. What’s not to love?
