Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer Review

Well this our last post before christmas but as there’ll be the traditional end of year sum up we’ll keep it brief. We hope each and every one of you has a truly happy holidays no matter what you celebrate.

The Fit Me Concealer is available to purchase from the Maybelline website (here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here), Boots (here), Superdrug (here) and Amazon (here). It retails for £6.99 and you get 6.8ml of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay, Boots and Superdrug. If you get Amazon Prime, shipping there is free.

The packaging is what you expect with a drugstore concealer. There’s the usual tube with doe foot applicator that comes sealed in plastic. There’s no outer box but all product information can be found on the tube. The applicator is small in comparison to others but I love it.

According to the product description, this is an oil free, natural coverage concealer that matches all skin tones. It covers blemishes and redness to deliver a more even complexion. This is both fragrance free and cruelty free. It is available in 11 shades but it could and should be so much better. There’s barely anything for deep skin tones. I picked up the shade Fair thinking it may be too light but it’s actually perfect. Best to test the shades in person.

On the skin, the concealer is actually pretty flawless. The doe foot applicator is small enough for precision application but holds enough product to deliver maximum coverage. Although described as natural coverage, it’s definitely more on the full coverage side of things but it blends into the skin seamlessly leaving you with a fairly natural finish. It feels lightweight on the skin and not overly drying on the undereyes.

The concealer can be worn alone but also works well with other products. Alone I did notice that it kind of highlights some deep pore texture on my cheeks but most concealers do this on me and it didn’t happen when worn over foundation. For the most part it left my skin looking smooth with an even tone. No cakiness here. It blends well with other base products with affecting them too much and when set with powder, doesn’t move for several hours.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the Fit Me Concealer by Maybelline but I wish they had a larger shade range. The concealer does exactly what it promises to aside from matching all skin tones. It covers redness and blemishes leaving you with a smooth, natural finish to the skin.
