Glossybox UK ‘It’s the Season to be Glossy’ Advent Calendar Review

Hi lovelies,

Another new year means another end to an advent calendar (sigh!). However, it does mean that I get to review it for you. Question: would you prefer this full review before december or after? Let me know in the comments.

The Glossybox UK Advent Calendar was released on sale on September 6th for dispatch later in the month. The calendar was £70 for subscribers and £75 for non subscribers. This year the calendar was quite a bit cheaper for non-subscribers and a little cheaper for subscribers. The calendar was dispatched on September 28th with delivery at the beginning of October.

This is the same as last year in terms of design with one or two minor changes to the composition of the boxes. I actually prefer this years arrangement even though it is a tight fit on the bottom row. However it is easier to get into box 25 than last year when it was located on one of the doors.

For me personally I think the 2019 calendar was much better than the 2018 before. We had a better range of products overall and I think there was a nicer mix between skincare and makeup. I also think there were more high end products in this years calendar.

There were some great high end skincare products including Avant, Dermatologica and Dr Dennis Gross. The skin care items are the most expensive products overall. In fact, pretty much all the skincare in here are from high end brands. Fantastic.

There was also a great selection of makeup products in here with some great brand included. We had some Nyx, Tarte, Kat Von D and Barry M. We nearly have a full face in there which is fantastic in comparison to most beauty advent calendars.

Overall, I am super happy with the Glossybox UK Advent Calendar. There are a huge range of brands and products that I haven’t tried before which is fantastic. Also we got so many high end products with very few beauty tools so what’s not to love.

Thanks for reading. I really hope that you have enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future. Leave a like or let me know in the comments what you thought, maybe even hit that follow button. Don’t forget, if you want to subscribe to GlossyBox UK use my refer a friend code by clicking here. There’s no extra cost but it could save us both pennies.
