Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Foundation Review

Hi lovelies,

I’ve heard really good thing about this foundation so I thought I’d give it a try. Y’all know I need to expand my foundation collection so here we go.

I ordered this during one of the many Beauty Bay sales from the year (see here) but you can also pick this up from most drugstores. Full price this foundation retails for £8.95 but I got mine for £7. Delivery was pretty quick especially for a sale.

Amazingly there are over 40 shades to choose from which I absolutely love. I’d definitely shop this in person rather than online as it’s so difficult to get the right shade. I grabbed one several shades too light but that doesn’t change the performance of the formula.

I really like the outer design of the component packaging. It’s nice and simple while being sturdy and easy to slip into a bag. However, I really don’t like the applicator. I prefer a pump action as it is more hygienic when you use it on clients.

The formula is pretty good one to be honest. Although not the right shade for me, the foundation had good coverage and was easy to blend out. It applies well with both a brush and a beauty sponge. It holds up well with most powders although when using a lot of loose powder, it can look cakey. This may be my powder rather than the foundation itself.

The foundation doesn’t oxidise too much after application which is a good thing. Hopefully the same can be said for the darker tones. It does dry down really well on its own but I’m not sure it would look good on the face.

When its been set, the foundation holds up well with adding contour, broner, blush and highlighter. It also blends well with cream contour and liquid highligher which I was impressed with. It also has decent wear time although you will need to touch up with powder.

It can sit a little heavy around the nose and towards the end of the day can settle into the lines of the face. Particularly around the nose, eyes and mouth. It could be worse for the price so I can handle this.

Overall, I’m not unhappy with my purchase even though it is several shade too light for me. My advice is try and buy this in person, in a store. Saying that, I am so happy with the shade range for a drugstore foundation. The foundation applied really well and worked with with other products. It also lasted for a decent time.

Thanks for reading. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future. Have this foundation…send me your looks for an Instragram share. Leave a like or let me know in the comments what you thought, maybe even hit that follow button.
