Made by Mitchell Large Makeup Case Review

As you know, I’ve been building my professional kit for a few months now and I finally decided to upgrade my actual case.

The Made by Mitchell large makeup cases are available to purchase through the company website (see here) as well as through their TikTok shop (here*). The large cases retail for £40-£50 depending on the colour though mine was £50. I still haven’t ordered direct from the website as shipping is often cheaper through Tiktok and it’s pretty quick. I think it was delivered 2 days after placing the order.

There’s a fair amount of packaging that comes with this case. Aside from the standard cardboard shipping box, there was usual neon green Made by Mitchell box with the company name and logo on the front and back. Inside the box, the case comes in a protective fabric bag to stop any scratches which I love.

The cases are available in different shapes, sizes, colours and finishes depending on your needs. I picked up the large case in the traditional black to go with the rest of my kit and I love it. It has a gorgeous matte finish with the company logo on the front and a thick, chunky handle on the top. It has got quite a bit of weight to it when full but aside from that it’s pretty comfortable to carry.

The first thing to note is that this case is fricking huge. Even after seeing some videos online, I was still quite surprised at how deep it is. I’m fairly certain you’ll be able to stand most bottled products upright in their original packaging which is rare. The overall size makes for a lot of space inside that is split into compartments. These sections are adjustable so you can fully customise the space for your individual needs. There’s also a zipped pouch in the lid as well as some sections for brushes too. Honestly though, this section is absolutely perfect for your pencils and liners which is what I’m using it for. I love that both the bottom half and lid have covers to provide additional protection.

Everything feels well made and secure but be careful with the zip of the clear cover. It seems like that may pop open easily due to the construction of the case. In terms of size, it’s amazing. I actually managed to fit like 90% of my kit into this case which I think is a miracle considering how many products are in it. The only things that are missing are larger items such as primer and surface cleaners. I’m glad I started depotting my foundations and lipsticks otherwise there might not have been enough room. But yeah, I’m hugely impressed at how much this holds since I’ve managed to pack 2 cases into one.

Overall, I am so happy with the Large Makeup Case from Made by Mitchell. Not only is it well made and feels high quality, there is so much room inside. I’ve managed to fit all my makeup and skincare into it-in fact it’s only larger kit items and my brushes that are missing…and the brushes were a conscious choice. Fairly certain I’ll buy a wheeled one as my kit continues to grow.
