Hi lovelies,
After trying and loving the foundation, you know I had to get the concealer too so here we go. If you missed that review find it here.
The Makeup Revolution IRL Concealer is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as from ASOS (here), Boots (here) and Superdrug (here). This retails for £6.99 and is available in 30 shades. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £35 with Makeup Revolution and on orders over £25 with Superdrug and Boots. ASOS offers free shipping as standard.

The packaging is pretty much the same as the foundation packaging on the outside. It has the same overall design, colour scheme and as always contains all product information including the ingredients list. The main difference is the applicator. The concealer has a flat tipped applicator with a matte finish lid that is quite comfortable to hold.

According to the product description, this is the ultimate, instant coverage concealer for dark circles, blemishes and fine lines. It has a lightweight, buildable, full coverage formula that will leave you with a soft matte finish to the skin. It is enriched with VTOX and hyaluronic acid to make your skin feel smoother and plump fine lines.
Where to start….ah yes that shade range. As mentioned above, this is available in 30 shades with a good selection of undertones for each skin tone. I do wish there were a few more shades for deeper skin tones though as there’s only one and it doesn’t look that deep. I picked up the shade C2 and upon reflection, I’m really not sure why as it has a pink undertone and I’m definitely yellow. Either way it doesn’t change the formula. Naturally, I had to swatch it before anything else and it looks like it oxidises quite slowly. There wasn’t much darkening in between creating the two swatches which was a bonus.

Next up is the applicator because it has a slightly different shape to most doe foot wands for concealer. The angle and shape of the tip helps for a precise application particularly around the eyes or if you’re using it to contour. The formula itself is gorgeous. It’s full coverage that feels lightweight and breathable on the skin. It blends out easily leaving you with a smooth, soft matte finish to the skin. You can layer it up too if you feel you need a touch more coverage or brightening without it looking patchy or cakey. It works well other liquid products without lifting them or being lifted by them. Once set into place, it lasts for hours without moving or settling into any fine lines neither does it look dry or textured.

Overall, I am really happy with the IRL Filter Finish Concealer from Makeup Revolution. For the price, it’s amazing and does exactly what it says on the tube. It’s a lightweight, full coverage concealer that leaves you with a smooth, soft finish to the skin. It doesn’t look heavy, dry or cakey even when built up.
