IT x Revolution Liquid Eyeliner Review-Both Shades

Hi lovelies,

I can’t believe I’ve been sitting on this review since October…

The IT x Revolution is available to purchase from the company website as well as from Superdrug and Amazon UK. The liners retail for £4.99 and you get 6.5 grams of product. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £35 with Revolution but it seems Superdrug are offering free delivery as standard. On Amazon, these are available with Prime.

The packaging is a little on the cheaper side but I’m not mad at it to be honest. The bottle is made from a very thick plastic, designed to look like a balloon but it keeps the price down. As always, there is a long handled brush that is in the screw cap and this looks to be a fairly fine brush.

According to the online description, these are here to serve up precise lines and graphic looks. The liners are available in 2 shades; Aren’t you Going to Say Hello? is an ultra black (Revolution, Superdrug and Amazon) and Beep Beep Richie is a blood red (Revolution, Superdrug and Amazon). Both shades are cruelty free and vegan.

Of course, I had to give both a quick test on my arm and the liners are smooth. The black is so black it almost looks blue in a certain light and the red is a gorgeous deep colour. One thing that I noticed though was that the red liner was a touch drier than the black one so didn’t swatch as far but it was still decent.

On the eye, the liners are pretty good. The brush makes application so easy which for me is a bloody miracle. I usually find liquid liner brushes are too stiff or require too much pressure in order to get a good flow of liner. Not with this one. It flies on with the least amount of pressure on the brush. Even the red goes on pretty easily. The liners are quite pigmented so you only need a thin layer which is good as they feel quite stiff if worn too thick. The liners dry down fairly quickly so transfer is minimal though they are easy to remove if mistakes are made.

My only big criticism of the liners is that they are quite easy to rub off absentmindedly. It’s such a shame as when applied thinly, they are really comfortable to wear. There’s minimal tightening and cracking with a thin layer. I just wished it lasted. The red doesn’t stain the skin either which is always a concern with reds but this is fine.

Overall, I am a little meh over the IT x Revolution Eyeliners. They’re ok but they’re not great but they’re not expensive and that black is pretty decent. So yeah, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The packaging is a bit on the cheap side but I don’t mind as the brush is fine and helps with application. The liners themselves are pigmented and for the most part easy to apply and comfortable to wear. I just wished they lasted longer.
