Kaima Cosmetics Chameleon Flakes and Glitter Eyeshadow Adhesive Review-4 Shades

Hi lovelies,

I actually think this is the final two products left from my Kaima Cosmetics haul all the way back in October.

The Kaima Cosmetics Chameleon Flakes and Adhesive are available to purchase from the company website (see here) with a few shades available on their Etsy (here). I actually picked up a mix and match bundle (here) containing all items in this review that retails for £40. The flakes come in 5 gram jars that can be purchased individually though they retail for £11.99 each. I’ve included the relevant links below. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £50 and international orders over £70.

The packaging is exactly what you would expect from a loose ‘glitter’ product. Each shade has a holographic outer box and contains all product information including the ingredients. Some of the boxes have cut aways on the top so you can see the shades inside but these may have changed with a standard design with the upgraded shades. Each of the shades come in a jar with a screw cap that have the names written on them. The adhesive comes in holographic tube and an outer box that also contains all product information.

According to the product description, these are premium grade glitter flake powders that are cruelty free and vegan. They are safe for use on the eyes, lips, body and nails with a velvet soft texture that feels lightweight on the skin. As part of the bundle I picked up four shades: Carnival with a pink to green shift, Phoenix with a pink to gold shift, Galaxify which is a black with a red and green shift and finally Supremacy with a purple, blue and green shift. Now since I ordered some shades have been upgraded and Supremacy is one of them. From the new shades, I think Aquamarine is the closest one to the shade I have.

The bundle also comes with the adhesive that retails for £8.99 and you receive 10g of product. This is a glitter priming gel designed to hold any kind of glitter in place for a long lasting look. Basically apply to the desired area and wait for it to go tacky before applying glitter. I love that the glue dries completely clear but does contain some glitter particles to help fill any gaps in the glitter application.

The first thing to note, is just how soft these flakes are. Although they look pretty chunky and a little sharp, they actually feel like butter. When used with the adhesive, the flakes almost melt together to create a gorgeous, slightly textured finish. This helps the multi chrome nature of the flakes to really stand out. Gives me very much gold leaf vibes, if I’m honest. You don’t need to use much to produce amazing colour and the multi chrome effect is gorgeous if a little difficult to capture.

With a thin layer, the flakes are comfortable to wear but thick layers can feel a little heavy on the eye. You can really load up on the body though with no issues. Once applied onto the glue, the flakes do not budge and best advice for removal is actually tape. On that note, be sure to do your eyes first if you’re using this as they can go everywhere even if you are careful. And again…tape will be your friend.

Overall, I am completely blown away by the Kaima Cosmetics Chameleon Flakes Bundle and I highly recommend grabbing some if you love sparkly makeup. The packaging is exactly what you expect from a glitter product though the product is much softer. The flakes feel like butter and almost melt together when applying to the glue. They create a gorgeous metallic, multi chrome finish that looks stunning no matter where you choose to wear it.
