Made by Mitchell Blursh Balm Review

Hi lovelies,

So I might have made a bit of a boo boo with this purchase because I actually did not read the product description properly.

The Made by Mitchell Blursh Balm is available to purchase from the company website (see here) as well as through their Tiktok shop (here)* and Beauty Bay (here). There are multiple shades available and each retails for £14. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with Beauty Bay while Made by Mitchell calculate it at checkout. I still haven’t bought direct from Made by Mitchell so I have no clue on their shipping costs.

The outer packaging is pretty much the Made by Mitchell standard at this point. As always, we have the neon green box with the bubble text and design details coloured to match the shade inside. Everything has a soft touch matte finish including the actual stick which makes it really comfortable to hold. The lid of the stick clips firmly into place making it hard to remove accidently and the rolling mechanism is really smooth.

According to the product description, this is the beautiful curve case formula manufactured into an easy to use stick to allow you more choice of shades. Yeah, spot my booboo. So not only did I buy this to test a new formula, that I have already tried buuuut I also bought one of the shades I already have in my fricking curve case. Aw well waste not want not so you’re still getting this review.

Just to cover all bases, as well standard blursh balm, there are also additional shades of bronzer and highlighter in stick form. Now I’ve never tried the highlighter formula so you may still see a review for that yet but there’s definitely no plans to cover the bronzer.

Ok so I actually don’t have too much to say on this one mostly because I have said it all before. The blursh balm is literally the curve case in a stick. That’s it. The end. Nah just kidding but in all seriousness the formula is the same creamy, pigmented loveliness as the curve case that blends just as easily. As with the case, the balm can be used before and after setting your base and there’s barely a difference in the overall finish. It just takes an extra minute to blend out over a set base but that’s all.

Even though I love the original curve case, I do actually like this formula in a stick particularly for any contour and bronzing shades. It gives you that little bit more control during application but can leave you stamping circles on your face if you don’t warm it up first. I’m also really happy that this formula is available in more shades than ever and that you can just stock up on your favourites instead of having to get a full case each time.

Overall, I am so happy with the Blursh Balm from Made by Mitchell. It really is the curve case formula in a stick and it applies and blends exactly the same as the OG. I love it.
