BirchBox UK November Subscription Review

Hi lovelies,

So I know I said I was going to cancel this subscription but I always think the next box might be awesome so I haven’t yet. The months box design is in collaboration with Disney for their new film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. This box was shipped a little later than usual but I have a feeling that it is because of the collaboration. It arrived within a few days and everything was well protected as usual.

This months box contains 5 products, 3 of them are full size and the other 2 are samples. A great mix of sizes for the price you pay for the subscription. This month, everyone got to pick one of two shades for one of the full sized products which I love.

The first product in this months box is exclusive to BirchBox and a full sized product. The Manna Kadar Cosmetics Diamond Dust Roller Shadow was available in the shades Pixie or Enchanted. I went with Pixie due to its pink shimmer. Retailing for £15, this is such a pretty shade and so easy to use. It transfers a small amount but it doesn’t gather in the creases of your eye. It’s a bit too glittery for me to wear as a highlighter on my cheeks but this would look amazing on the body.

The next product to try was the Paul & Joe Illuminating Foundation Primer. I’ve tried this with both matte and glow foundations but you really don’t need it under glowy foundations. This adds a beautiful glow to the skin and as a primer works great. It stays a little tacky so your foundation sticks to it well. This one retails for £27.

The third product that I tried is another full size products. The Dr Pawpaw Original Clear balm is a moisturising balm that can be used wherever you need it. Elbows check, knees check, chapped lips check, sunburn check. It works wonderfully for chapped lips and dry skin although I haven’t tried it on sunburn. This balm retails for £3.75 for 10ml.

The penultimate product within this box is the Polaar Polar Night Cream which retails for £32. I’ve used this on a couple of nights and my skin felt and looked great the next day. It dies feel thick and heavy on the skin upon application but it does absorb throughout the night. My skin looked and felt amazing the following day with no issues.

The final product is from Spacemasks, a relaxation eye mask infused with iron and jasmine. This is a single use mask that is self heating when placed over the eyes. It was easy to use with no mess and it worked well. The warmth of the mask really does relax you and reduced some of the puffiness around my eyes. This mask retails for £3.50 but you can buy a pack of 5 for £15.

Overall, I am happy with this months BirchBox, as I like many of the products in it. All of these products are amazing but they’re just not for me and my skin unfortunately. I’ve not had any issues with any of the products such as break outs or rashes. I think I might stick with this box for another month.

Thank you for reading. I really hope that you have enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future.

Rach xx
