Another beaut that I’ve had my eye on for ages that dropped into my lap for Christmas curtesy of my mama. You can also pick up this palette with matte shadows if you prefer. Also if you have the EYN Bright 42 Colour Palette you don’t need this one.
The EYN Bright Shimmer palette is available from the Beauty Bay website (see here) and retails for £6.50. I’m not sure about delivery as it was a present but Beauty Bay usually offer free UK delivery on orders over £15.
The packaging of the palette is nice and simple yet still gorgeous. The unicarton silver with a holographic shine to it. The palette name is on the front with all product information on the back. The palette is matte black with blue highlights. I love it. There is also a little mirror in the lid.
The palette contains 9 shades; rainbow shimmer of course. Every colour in the rainbow has a slot and in shades that will work well together for a range of finishes to looks.
When doing the swatches, all of the shades were silky and soft to the touch. They layed down in a single swipe and seemed neverending. All the shades performed the same which is hard to perfect.
On the eye, they performed just as well as the swatches. They apply well with either a dry or damp brush or your finger. They are easy to blend together and into other matte shades. There was a slight amount of fallout in the pan and fallout under the eye. As it’s a shimmer palette this is to be expected.
Overall, I am so happy with this palette. I love the design of the packaging and the range of shades within the palette. The shadows performed so well on the eye by being pigmented, easy to blend and with a great shimmer. They work well with other shadows. I may have to get the EYN 42 Bright Matte after this.
