Another christmas present again (it might end soon). This time we have my dad and stepmum to thank and I did.
The Makeup Revolution Creative Palette has a whooping 196 shades. You can pick up this palette from the company website (see here) and retails for £30. Such a great price for the amount of shades you get. As Makeup Revolution is a drugstore brand, you may be able to find this locally.
The packaging of the is minimalistic which I love. There’s an outer cardboard unicarton with all the product information on the back. The palette itself is thin plastic making it pretty light despite its size. There are no shade names with this palette.
The palette contains a huge mix of matte, metallics and pressed glitters but please forgive me for not counting them for you. Just know there are lots of every type in every colour.
Again, I didn’t swatch all the shadows but I have tried to show you a range of shades. When doing the swatches, most of the shadows needed one or two swipes to build up a decent pigment. The metallics were soft and buttery.
On the eye, the shadows performed reasonably well. Although they are not the most pigmented shadows, they are buildable and easy to blend. You can produce a massive range of looks with this single palette as the shades work so well together.
Overall, I am so happy with the 196 Creative Palette from Makeup Revolution. For the price, this is an absolute bargain for any makeup lover. The packaging is perfectly fine and all the shadows work beautifully. They could be more pigmented but for the price they are perfectly fine.
