Lottie London Metallic Foil Eyeshadow Review

Hi lovelies

I’ve got another product from a Glossybox delivery that just deserved it’s own, full review. Surprise surprise it’s something else from Lottie London; I love a company with good prices. Plus they are cruelty free and vegan.

You can purchase the Metallic Foil Eyeshadows from the Lottie London website (see here) as well as from Look Fantastic (see here). There are 3 shades to choose from and they retail for £6.95. You get 2 grams of product in the jar. You get free UK on orders over £20 with Lottie London and on orders over £25 with Look Fantastic. Both companies have pretty quick dispatch and shipping and I’ve always had my order within a week.

The eyeshadow comes in a little jar similar to most single eye products. The jar is pretty heavy for the size so it’s perfect for protecting that loose pigment. The cap screws on tightly and securely and there’s also a cover on the inside too that stops the pigment getting on the lid. The packaging makes it perfect for popping into your makeup bag for a night out.

As I was sent this in my subcription box, I didn’t pick the shade but I ended up with Golden Hour which is a gold. The other shades are bronze and cranberry and they all look stunning in the images online. The Power Foil formula is described as a versatile, high coverage metallic eyeshadow that has been designed for an intense foil finish. Pack it on for an over the top metallic finish or blend it out for a more softer day look.

Ok so first things first…you don’t need to use much no matter what look you’re going for. It’s so pigmented that even an intense look only needs one dip into the pot. Swear I managed to get an eye look out of the smallest amount on top of inner cover. It is surprisingly easy to blend into a more subtle gold that is perfect for glamming up a day look. A reminder here that this is a loose pigment and it go everywhere. Be sure to do your eyes before your base otherwise you will end up with gold speckled cheeks.

It lasts for quite a few hours before creasing on the eye but it is easy to rectify with a quick smooth over using a brush. Other than that I’ve not had any major issues when using this product but please be careful when removing as it’s easy to get it in your eye. It’s also easy to get it out too so don’t panic if that happens. If you do experience any issues please stop using it immediately and seek medical advice.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the Lottie London Metallic Foil. I will most definitely be purchasing the other shades and I hope there’s more to come too. The packaging is sturdy and secure so you will be able to travel with this without the worry of it going all over. It has a really intense colour and shine but it can also be blended out for a more subtle finish. I love a good versatile product. The only downside is that it goes everywhere, literally everywhere although it is easy to remove.
