Hi lovelies,
Yet another beauty related review rather than a makeup review. Sorry not sorry about it. Now I’m back to work the makeup reviews will be more consistent again.
The Primer Time Original Primer is available from the Bare Minerals website (see here) as well as Boots (here) and LookFantastic (here). This retails for £26.50 and you get 30ml of product. As you don’t need to use much this bottle should last you a decent amount of time for the price.

I got mine as a sample size in one of my Glossybox’s so the packaging is very different. Mine is a tiny squeezy tube in an outer box containing all product information. I do like that even the sample has branded packaging. The full size product comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser. Looking at online reviews there have been some issues with the dispenser so hopefully they’ve got that fixed. I believe it comes in a unit carton that has a similar design to the sample size.

The website description states that this will prepare your skin for seamless coverage of your foundation. It should cover enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and dry patches. Apply it first for a smooth and even textured complexion. It also contains natural extracts from plants and vitamins to improve your skin.

The primer is smooth and silky to touch but has a silicone feeling about it. I’m not the biggest fan of silicone primers but this one isn’t too bad. If you have oily skin this might not be the best for you but since getting my oil production under more control it’s been working well for me. It’s easy to apply and is absorbed into the skin quickly without leaving a residue behind. My skin actually felt so soft after applying and it did smooth over my pores and most of the uneven texture. It holds your makeup well and makes it last all day. At no point did my face become overly shiny either.

I’ve not had any issues when using this primer however I don’t use it daily and don’t have sensitive skin. If you are experiencing any issues with it, stop using it immediately and seek medical advice.
Overall, I am pretty happy with this primer and have been considering buying the full size product. It doesn’t cover everything such as acne but it does smooth over the majority of textures. It helps smooth enlarged pores and leaves you with a demi matte finish to the skin. Perfect for makeup application; it doesn’t shift your base around and keeps it in place for hours.
