More skincare for you courtesy of Glossybox once again. Y’all know I can’t be affording this on my own.
The Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Vivifying Face and Eye Cream is available to purchase from the Avant website (see here) as well as from Look Fantastic (see here). It retails for £98 which is pretty bloody expensive but sometimes good skincare is worth it.
Avant being a little extra provides two options for packaging although the price remains the same for both. One comes in a glass jar and the other in a black tube although both contain 50ml of product. I was sent the tube packaging and I actually prefer it for face creams. I find it more hygienic. Both items come in an outer box with the product information and ingredients written in clear text. It’s very sleek and what I expect from Avant packaging.
The website describes this an anti-aging moisturiser for use at night for the face and targeted eye areas. It contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate your skin and rejuvenate tired and drooping eyes as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This also contains Maris Aqua (sea water) which contains magnesium, calcium and potassium to help your skin retain moisture and balance sebum and oil production to give you an even skin tone. Vitamin B3 is also in there to improve the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, uneven skin tone and dullness.
Unlike most face creams this does have a scent although I’m not entirely sure what that scent is. It just says parfum in the ingredients list which is frustrating. Thankfully it isn’t overpowering and doesn’t linger for long. Being an overnight moisturiser it is quite a lot thicker than day creams and can feel heavy on the skin if too much is applied. You only need a pea sized amount to cover the face and eyes. It can take a few minutes to be absorbed although there’s no residue remaining on the skin. Once absorbed my skin feels soft and looks brighter and more refreshed.
I’ve been using this for a few months and I’ve noticed over time an overall improvement to my skin. My pores are looking more refined and oil production is also more controlled. My skin tone is a lot more even my eye area looks brighter. I use this every night except when using an overnight mask so it does last a good while too. I’ve not had any issues when using this moisturiser but if you have sensitive skin it might not be for you as it has a fragrance.
Overall, despite the price of this I’m really happy with it and will possibly buy some when I am able to afford it. This tube has lasted me 6 months when using it every night and I still have plenty left so it won’t be a regular purchase at that price. For me the only negative is the fragrance; it’s not a hideous scent but I prefer face creams without it. Other than that I love it. It softens, hydrates and brightens the skin after one use. Over time you see a more even skin tone, reduced pored and less production of sebum and oil.
