Hi lovelies,
Little bit of an odd one this week with these two products. I’ve been wanting to try Doll Beauty for a while now so when they released a Mystery Box for £20, I was all over it.

The “She Fine” Liner is available to purchase from the Doll Beauty website (see here) as well as Beauty Bay (here) and Boots (here). There are 13 shades in total, each retailing for £8.50 or you can grab the full bundle for £55. The Doll Gloss is slightly confusing as some retailers have the name “She glosses like its hot” and others don’t but all sell the same gloss shades. Either way you can get them from Doll Beauty (here), Beauty Bay (here) and Boots (here). There are 12 shades available with each retailing for £13. Shipping from Doll Beauty was quite quick as it arrived in the UK within 2 weeks. You’ll get faster shipping with Beauty Bay than you will with Boots.

I am absolutely loving the packaging. Yeah my feminist brain is screaming at me right now but it can shut up. The entire brand is pink with hearts and lipstick making it instantly identifiable as Doll Beauty. Both products come in a outer box with the company and product names written in Italic script. All product information including the ingredients can be found here. The liner is the industry standard pencil-non retractable but can be sharpened to a fine point. The shade name is written at the end of pencil in the Doll Beauty script. The gloss again is packaged in a fairly standard way with a tube and applicator. The doe foot applicator has a hole in the center and holds a lot of product so you’ll rarely have to double dip. It’s also a great shape making application easy.

Since I got these in a mystery box I had no choice over the shades. I ended up with the “Spice Up Ur Lyf” lip liner and the “# Glitterally Smitten” lip gloss. Spice up ur lyf is a dusty pink based nude while Glitterally Smitten is a clear gloss with silver reflects. According to the website, the liners are perfect for creating definition and sculpting the lips. They offer a smooth, precise application and smudge-proof, long lasting colour. The gloss is for giving your lips a little extra pop. Described as a high-shine, long-lasting and lightweight gloss this can be worn throughout the day. Both items can be worn alone or with lipstick to create your perfect pout.

The liner formula is really creamy which makes for a smooth and easy application. It does make it slightly harder to have a neat, sharp edge but it’s easy to clean up with some concealer. Despite the matte finish, it is comfortable to wear and didn’t make my lips dry. It blends well with satin and matte lipsticks and can be worn with a range of shades. It doesn’t transfer too much over the day and keeps its colour well. The gloss feels lightweight on the lips without being greasy or too sticky. It adds a great shine but subtle shimmer to your lips which I love but naturally it does transfer easily.

Overall, I am pretty happy with these items from the Doll Beauty Mystery Box. The brand is instantly recognizable by it’s packaging which I love. Both products come in industry standard packaging that has been dolled up (see what I did there). The lip liner pencil is creamy and is easy to apply. it can be worn alone or with a variety of lipstick shades without drying out your lips. It is pretty long lasting as it doesn’t transfer or smudge. The gloss is so pretty with its high shine and shimmer reflects. It is easy to apply and doesn’t feel greasy or too sticky like a lot glosses can.
