Hi lovelies,
Glossybox were a little late this month as you can probably tell. Finally delivered by the 20th.
This years October edit is inspired by the Masquerade with 2 box designs; Secret and Truth. Not sure if the items in the two boxes are different to each other but I ended up with Truth. This features 5 products; 3 full size and 2 deluxe minis.

The first item for me to try was the Anatomicals Boob Tube Grab Your Melons Body Lotion. The full size item retails for £4. I was unsure of this at first as I really don’t like watermelon scented things but the scent isn’t overpowering or ridiculously fake. The lotion was absorbed into the skin fairly quickly and without residue. It left my skin feeling hydrated and soft.

The next product was the This Works Stress Check Clean Hands. Have to say I’m not the biggest fan of hand gels and this is no exception. It left my hands feeling greasy and I really don’t like the scent. However, once the greasiness went my hands did feel a lot softer. Full size this retails for £15.

The third item for me to try was the Eyeko Spotlight Highlight pencil in the shade Champagne. This retails for £15 and is perfect for adding some glow to the brow bone and inner corners. For a pencil, it’s quite creamy and glides onto the skin. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it and could even be used on the lid for a subtle look.

The penultimate item in this months box was the Josephine Cosmetics Lip/Power Matte Liquid Lipstick in Tiphaine. It is a gorgeous shade and is highly pigmented so you don’t need to use much. Due to this, it dries quickly without feeling thick and heavy. It does transfer easily though a good amount of pigment remains on the lips. This retails for £21.80

The final item for me to try was the Saint Luxe Setting Spray that retails for £18. It’s supposed to add a glowy finish to your makeup. I say supposed as my makeup looked exactly the same after use. I don’t particularly like the spray either. Way to powerful and concentrated in a spot.

Overall, this is probably the least exciting Halloween box I’ve received from Glossybox in the three years I’ve been subscribed. A couple of really nice products in there but only one that screams Halloween and Masquerade. So yeah, a mixed bag.
Thanks for reading. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future.
