Glossybox UK December Subscription Box Review

Hi lovelies,

Seems like the last box of the year turned up a little earlier than expected. It was here by the 7th. Naturally, being December, it’s been a crazy time at work so I’ve not had much time to write. Sorry not sorry.

As always the direct debit was paid on the 1st of the month. I’m not sure when they changed their packages but it seems now you can only get a pay monthly subscription for a 1 month rolling subscription or for 12 months. If you want to try it on a 3 or 6 month subscription, then you’re paying upfront. Honestly I really dislike this and I think it’s pretty shady of them. It’s no wonder people are getting sick of them especially with subscriptions auto-renewing. As with all companies, when they get big they stop caring about the people that put them there! I’m NOT going to renew in April and I’ve been with them years now!

This month we have the Moonlight Glow edit inspired by the magic of winter. Featuring 4 full sized products and a deluxe mini plus an extra treat with a perfume sample.

The first item in this months box was the Beauty Pro Retinol Under Eye Patch. These retail for £1.95 and should brighten your undereyes and diminishing fine lines. Can’t say I noticed much difference (if any) after a single use but my undereyes did feel more refreshed.

The next item for me to try was the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser. This has quite a thick formula so you don’t need to use much. It is easy to apply though it did feel slightly greasy until it was fully absorbed into the skin. Once it had my skin felt really soft and had a healthy glow to it. This retails for £15 (full size £39).

The third item was the LA Splash Midnight Glow Face Palette. This retails for £25 and contains 2 blushers, a bronzer and a highlighter. I thought this was going to be too dark for me at first but the products are quite subtle on the skin. The blush and highlighter give you a gorgeous glow but I found the bronzer to be on the cool side. Not what I need for bronzer.

The fourth item in this months box was the Spectrum Collections B08 Magic Wand brush. This is a small, fluffy tapered brush for precision application and it’s pretty good. It picks up highlighters well and blends them into your base for a seamless glow. This retails for £7.99.

The penultimate item for me to try was the Brave New Hair Keratin Hair Mask. This retails for £5 and provides a deep, long-lasting conditioning. It’s easy to apply and leaves your hair feeling soft and silky.

The final item in this months box was a perfume sachet from Bon Parfumeur. There are several sachets that you could have received and I got 103 Jasmine which is a floral scent. Not my cup of tea I’m afraid.

Overall, its a pretty decent box this month although December’s is usually a good one. There are several products that I love and will be repurchasing at some point I’m sure. The only thing I didn’t really like was the perfume.

Thanks for reading. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future.
