Hi lovelies,
Yet another palette in the Carnival series from BPerfect Cosmetic. This is the fourth palette in collaboration with Stacey Marie MUA. As with previous installments, this palette is cruelty free.

This is palette, like the rest, are available from the BPerfect website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here). It retails for £39.95 with standard shipping costs at £3.50 with both companies. You qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £40 with BPerfect and on orders over £30 with Beauty Bay. You can also find this on the Tiktok shop often with money off.

The packaging for The Antidote palette, although similar to previous installments has a different aesthetic. I love the purple ripple effect colouring with the gold writing on both outer box and palette. All product information including the ingredients can be found on the back of both. The palette itself is well made and sturdy with a magnetic closure for the lid. Despite it’s size, it’s not overly heavy for holding up. There’s a huge mirror on the lid and the pans are a decent size with the shade names underneath.

This is a 45 pan palette containing 29 mattes and 16 shimmers. Despite the three palettes before it, there’s not a repeated shade in here. The shade range is definitely on the more wearable side and I love it. There’s still the bright and intense shades we love but there’s a lot more natural ones too. The range allows for a huge variety of looks to be created out of this palette alone but is also a great compliment to the rest of the series.

When doing the swatches, all the shadows felt soft and creamy. As with the previous Carnival palettes, the mattes swatched smoothly though some of the lighter shades did need 2 layers to really show up against the darker ones. The shimmers were particularly silky and swiped so easily with a single layer.

On the eye, the shadows are gorgeous. They are highly pigmented, yet remain easy to apply and blend. The mattes do lose a slight amount of intensity during blending but that’s easily built back up without any patchiness. The shimmers are stunning; highly pigmented and full of reflects. They pop so much. When using a brush, some shimmers did clump a little when picking up the shadows but they applied smooth and even on the eye. They are also easy to blend and last for hours without creasing.
I’ve had very few issues with this palette. There’s a small amount of kickback in the pan for most of the shades and a tiny amount of fallout under the eye for the shimmers. None of the shades stained the skin but the darker greens were a little harder to remove than the rest. I’ve not had any other issues with this palette.

Overall, I am so happy with the Carnival 4 Antidote Palette from BPerfect and Stacey Marie MUA. The packaging is gorgeous and well made without being too heavy to work with. The shade range is definitely on the more wearable side for most people but has some pops of colour. The shadows are amazing. They are super soft and highly pigmented while being easy to apply and blend. The shimmers make every look pop with tons of reflects and pigments. No complaints, no issues.
