Made by Mitchell Mini Pencil/Liner Case Review

As you know I’ve been building up my pro kit and I’ve decided to invest in a better brush case….remember one of our very first reviews. Well I was still using that Sugarpill x Little Twin Stars bag.

The Mini Pencil/Liner Case is available to purchase from the Made by Mitchell website (see here) as well as through their Tiktok shop-check links on our page here to help with commission. Shipping is calculated during checkout but I’ve found it cheaper to shop via Tiktok mainly because of shipping prices. My order was dispatched within 2 days and was here a few days after that.

Like with my other orders from Made by Mitchell, this arrived in a plastic shipping bag coloured in the trademark neon green and emblazoned with the Mitchell logo. The case came in an outer box with an abstract design of blue and the company name on the front. There’s no extra padding on the inside of the box but there is a protective bag over the case to stop it getting scratched during transit.

This storage case is made from faux leather and can be used for liners or brushes. According to the product description it holds up to 48 brushes or liners across two zip secured sections. Each section contains elasticated straps and pouches to hold your items into place. The cases are available in 4 colours, 1 limited edition, with a fifth available for pre-order. I picked up the black one simply because I liked it best and black is timeless. The case is quite plain aside from the huge Mitchell M on the front but it looks pretty sleek.

I’m actually in love with this mini case. I was a little bit worried about the size at first thinking it might be too small but it’s kind of perfect and fits all my brushes in. It’s the size of an A5 book only thicker making it fairly lightweight and compact. Obviously it get’s heavier when filled with brushes though it remains easy to carry due to the handle on the long side of the case. Everything feels high quality, well made and robust including the handle, zips and pouches. The outer covering feels tough and made to last for a working makeup artist. The straps have plenty of give to them making it easy to get items in and out while the pouches add extra security. On the outer sides, there are also some netted pouches that add space for other tools such as disposable wands, sharpeners etc.

Overall, I’m really happy with the Mini Pencil/Liner Case from Made by Mitchell. For the price it’s great. It is lightweight and compact while being well made, robust and secure. Everything feels high quality and there’s plenty of room for items.
