Birchbox UK December Subscription Review

Hi lovelies,

I’m pretty glad that I stayed subscribed to BirchBox UK as the December box is pretty good. It felt quite heavy when it was delivered which I took for a good sign.As always with BirchBox, the subscription was taken from my account on the 1st and was dispatched within a week. It arrived a couple of days later safe and sound.

This months box contains 7 items, 3 of them full sized along with a sweet treat and a good sized sample or two. Most of the items are skin and hair care but I don’t have a problem with this. It is a beauty box after all.

The first product for me to try was the Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water. This is one of the smaller samples received however you don’t need to use much. Infused with Chamomile, this removes makeup easily and leaves your face looking fresh. Retailing at £16 I may restock this.

The next product for me to try was the Percy and Reed Totally TLC Hydrating Mask. For the hair this is used after shampooing. It was easy to use and rinse out and left my hair feeling, looking and smelling great. Full sized this retails for £22.

The third product in my BirchBox was the Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Balancing Body Cream. You get a decent sized sample with this one and the product is pretty good. It smells amazing and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Full sized this retails for £19.50 and may be worth purchasing.

The next product to try was the LARITZY cosmetics long lasting liquid lipstick in the shade Power. This dried to a gorgeous matte red that lasted a good few hours.  It did dry my lips a little bit but I do expect this with liquid lipsticks over long periods. This retails for £20 but I think I’ll stick with my Jeffree Star and Sugarpill for that price.

The fifth product within this box was the Oh K Bubble Sheet Mask. This retails for £7.50 and although I love this mask it is a little expensive for a single use mask. It left my skin looking and feeling amazing after use.

One of the two extra treats for us this month was the BirchBox Wide Toothed Comb. Honestly not that impressed with this. It works well enough but feels cheap and flimsy, certainly not going to be paying the £5 retail price they are asking for.

The second of our extra treats were some chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. Got to love chocolate and it is Christmas after all. Milk chocolate and hazelnut, what’s not to love.

Thanks for reading. I really hope that you have enjoyed this review and you will join me for more in the future. Don’t forget, if you want to subscribe to BirchBox UK use my refer a friend link by clicking here. It won’t cost you anything but may save us some pennies.
