I’ve decided to change up my skincare rountine because recently my skin has been absolutely terrible. I’ve been trying out these products over 6 months to give you a true review.
I got a great a little haul from Boots that didn’t cost too much due to a 3 for 2 offer on the “kind to…” collection. I picked up all 5 items for £21 although delivery was £3.50. Delivery took a few days but I can handle that.
I started out by trying the Clear and Matte Cleansing wipes. Part of the Daily Skin Detox range for blemish prone oily skin. I managed to grab these for £2 with the usual price been £4.30 for 25 wipes. As great as these were, I won’t be purchasing again I as I really don’t like using facial wipes.
I also picked up another product from the Daily Skin Detox range; Clear Pore Scrub. This has become a daily necessity for me as it really does keep the oil away. At £4.99, it’s lasted me a decent time for the price.
I wanted to try something from their ordinary range of face scrubs so I grabbed the Smoothing Facial Scrub. Yea, I hate this one. I can’t use it and will probably get rid. It smells awful, feels greasy and is overall unpeasant. Thankfully I got this free in a 3 for 2 but it retails for £3.49.
I always need good eye makeup remover cause that’s the part I can struggle with. I bought the Dual Effect Eye Makeup Remover for £4.94. I really love this one for removing makeup that stains and waterproof mascara. It’s just a bit to greasy for me to use for the majority of my makeup.
I also picked up the normal Eye Makeup Remover just in case I didn’t like the other one. This one retails for £3.80 and is great for removing the majority of makeup. It didn’t irritate my eyes and removed my makeup easily.
As you would expect, from the Simple Company, I experienced no issues using these products. Now I didn’t try the Smoothing Scrub more than once cause it was nasty but I was fine with everything else. There was no irritation to my eyes or skin neither did I suffer from breakouts or allergies.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase from Simple Skincare. The only product I really hated was one I got free so in the bin it goes. The other items are great and I’ve repurchased a couple of the items. My skin could still improve but it’s come a long way this last 6 months,
