Glossybox UK July Subscription Review

Hi lovelies,

We’re a little later than usual with our Glossybox post. For the first time ever, I received an email on the 10th stating that an item had to be replaced and that my box would be dispatched on the 15th. Did anyone else have this?

As always, the direct debit was paid on the first of the month with dispatch usually occuring from the fourth. With a 12 month subscription, you get your box for £8.50 + delivery instead of the full £10 (not that it’s expensive).

This month, we have a summer themed edition with the Aloha box. This month we have 4 full sized products and a deluxe mini to help you get your perfect sun kissed summer looks.

The first product for me to try was the Jecca Blac Glow Drop Primer. This one retails for £16 and is pretty sticky on the skin. It actually looked so pretty under my thickest, most full coverage foundation but under a lightweight one, it just looked glittery and metallic. It may be useful mid winter.

The next product in this months box was the Naobay Orange Juice Hand Cream. I find this one odd. It’s a nice hand cream, making my skin soft but not greasy, however I’m not sure I like the smell. It’s so orangey and its the sickly sweet OJ smell. This retails for £11.50.

The third product for me to try was the Give Them Lala Beauty Aloha Bronzer. This retails for £19.80 and is a pretty good sized product. It applies nice and even while been easy to blend. It may be slightly too dark for me but it’s a good bronzer so I’ll keep playing.

The penultimate product was the Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara. It’s a pretty good mascara offerring length and volume to your lashes. It’s waterproof to a certain degree but isn’t difficult to remove with an oil based cleanser. This is the deluxe mini and retails for £9.50.

The final product in the July box was the Kocostar Fruit Slice Mask Sheet with 2 designs to receive. I got the strawberry one and this retails for £4. Nope, not for me. I don’t see the point of “slices” just give me a fricking sheet mask. It smelled of artificial strawberrys which is just too sickly for the face.

Overall, not the best box for me. For the first time in 2 years, I have written a mostly negative review. However, the ONE product I really like, is more expensive than the box so I still win. Haha. So yeah, not the best but I’ll forgive them.

Thanks for reading. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future. Leave a like or let me know in the comments what you thought, maybe even hit that follow button. Don’t forget, if you want to subscribe to GlossyBox UK use my refer a friend code by clicking here. There’s no extra cost but it could save us both pennies.
