Hi lovelies,
I’ve been wanting to try some new brands for you all and I was lucky enough to spot an amazing deal through Money Saving Expert to grab a huge Lottie London Bundle.
A note here that as I bought this as a bundle, I had no control over the shades sent. Some shades correlate others really do not.

You can purchase the Slay All Day Matte Lipsticks from the Lottie London website (here) as well as from Look Fantastic (here and here). The lipsticks retail for £5.95 and there is a decent shade range to choose from. I can only find the Slay All Day Lip Liners on Look Fantastic (here) retailing for £4-6 depending on the shade. Both companies have fast delivery.

The packaging of both products is the industry standard. Lip liner in a pencil, liquid lipstick in a tube with an applicator. The liner looks to be retractable but it’s not although the website does say you can sharpen it. I actually don’t like this packaging and I’d much prefer just a standard pencil that I know I can sharped. The applicator of the lipstick is a little different to others. It’s not exactly a doe foot, it’s a little bit thinner and the point isn’t as defined. I actually prefer this applicator shape but they don’t produce the neatest of edges.

The liners are really creamy and pigmented with minimal bleeding. For the most part they apply smooth but some do need warming up to glide on. They last for hours and I didn’t notice them drying out my lips. Some of them are a little bit soft and pressure just makes them break. I’m not sure whether that’s down to the formula of certain shades or whether they have gotten warm at some point. The liners also work well with other brands of lipsticks.

The matte liquid lipsticks have a smooth, creamy formula that glides on easily. One or two did look a little bit patchy when I was swatching them but on the lips they are fine. They are very pigmented and last for several hours at a time. They do take a minute or so to dry down to matte but I don’t mind this. The different shades also blend together well if you want an ombre lip. I didn’t notice my lips drying out and I actually forgot I was wearing these on several occassions they are that weightless.

I was sent 3 shades of liner that correlate with the lipsticks and they work so well together. I actually prefer to have the liner match my lipstick so these duos are absolutely perfect for me. As the other liners are of similar colours if you do like a contrasting liner then that’s also an option.

Overall, I’m really happy with this lip bundle from Lottie London. Although I’m not keen on the packaging for the liner, I really love the applicator for the lipstick. The liners are creamy and pigmented while been fairly easy to apply (some shades glide on better than others). The lipsticks are smooth and pigmented. They take a minute to dry to matte but once they do there’s no moving them.
