Hi lovelies,
I have another item recommended to me by the very talent Rio (see here). It’s like they know me really, really well as this is just the perfect colour story for Halloween.
The Barry M x Anna Lingis Eyeshadow palette is available to purchase from the Barry M website (see here) as well as from Superdrug (see here). This retails for £9.99 and is cruelty free and vegan. I picked up mine from the company website and it arrived within a few days despite delay warnings due to Covid.

The packaging is quite simple, black with the gold lettering and no outer sleeve. I don’t mind this as it saves on paper in the long run and the palette stays closed without one. All product information can be found on the back of the palette including the ingredients list. The palette is lightweight and not too big making it easy to hold. There is also a decent sized mirror in the lid too.

This is a 16 pan palette containing 9 mattes and 7 shimmers. The pans are a little small for my liking however with the size of the palette, number of pans and retail price I can understand this. The colour story is perfect-a great combination of colours to suit your everyday needs. The palette is cruelty free and vegan as well.

When doing the swatches, the shadows felt so creamy and soft. They all swiped easily and had amazing pigment with only 1 layer. I think I had to go over the shade Bake 2 or 3 times for it to show against my skin but that’s it. The shimmers only needed one layer to produce great pigment and shine. The shade Saucy did feel a little gritty to touch at first but I think that’s just the glitter particles on the top. It felt fine after that first swatch.

On the eye, the shadows are amazing, really pigmented and so easy to blend. Honestly they apply and work like a dream. The mattes all work and blend well together to give you some amazing combinations. The shimmers continue to amaze on the eye by being consistent in pigment and shine. These shades can be applied with your finger but a brush works equally as well. There is a small amount of kickback in the pan for most of the shades. The red, shimmers and darker shades do have some fallout under the eye but it’s minimal and can be fixed.

Overall, I am so happy with the Barry M X Anna Lingis palette. It’s the perfect palette for this time of year but can easily become a daytime regular. The packaging is nothing excited, I can handle that when the products amazing and this is. The shades are pigmented yet still buildable and easy to blend. I don’t think you’ll find a better value palette and I’ll definitely be shopping with Barry M Cosmetics again.
