This is gonna be the last post before Christmas so I want to wish you a happy holidays from us here at RNB. Despite the new restrictions in the UK, I’m sure we can make it fabulous.
I’ve got another beauty tools review for you. I’ve been searching through my local TK Max for new doodads and found this beaut.
As always I picked this up a bargain price of £1.50 however you can also pick this up from various only retailers such as feelunique and lookfantastic. Full price this retails for £5. The packaging is really simple. A thin, clear plastic box with the company logo and product name on the front.
According to the product description this is a hydrophilic sponge that is ultra soft, non-sensistive and flake resistant. It is supposed to evenly blend makeup for a long wearing, flawless and enhanced finish. It is vegan friendly and perfect for all foundation formulas as well as powders and blush.
I was really impressed by how much this sponge expanded with the addition of water. It almost doubled in size as it expanded it became softer. Unfortunately, I found it didn’t handle my full coverage foundation very well. I think the sponge is just a little too soft. With lighter foundations it does blend pretty well.
It’s the same for the full coverage concealers as well, I’m afraid, however it works wonderfully at applying loose powder. You don’t need to apply much powder onto the sponge if you are no baking. If you apply your foundation with a brush first, you can get an excellent finish but going over it with this sponge.
Overall, I am pretty happy with my purchase. You can never have to many sponges as an mua and this just adds something to your kit. Although not perfect, when used with the right products it can leave your skin looking fabulous and flawless.
