Hi lovelies,
A new month equals a new Glossybox delivery. This month we have the Sing, Dance, Love, Repeat edition to celebrate the month of love (valentine’s day) and life’s biggest love: Music. I kinda like this interpretation as not everyone celebrates valentine’s-me for one-but we all love a good tune.

We get a specially designed box for the occasion and I do love the retro vibes of the cassette tape. Not the first time I’ve seen this in relation to Valentine’s releases. I won’t bore you with all the subscription stuff this time but delivery was quicker this month for me. There are 5 full sized products in this months box.
The first product that I tried was the Avant Velvet Perfecting Rose Sugar Lip Scrub that retails for £58. At the minute it seems that including Avant is the only reason I am still subscribed to GB. It did exfoliate my lips well and left them smooth and ready for lipstick. It does have quite a strong smell of almond and rose so if you’re not a fan of perfumed products it may not be for you.

The next one for me to try in this months box was the NudeStix Gel Color Lip and Cheek Balm. This actually feels really moisturising on the lips but I find it too greasy to wear on the cheeks personally (I have really oily skin). The colour is pretty but muted due to it being a balm. Is it worth £20? Nah

The third item in this box was the Glow on 5th Rose Gua Sha that retails for £10. This is the one that should have been in last months box and for me could have been left out of this one too. It’s plastic….oh wait sorry, sorry it’s resin. I did see results from using it to massage my face but I can do that with my fingers and achieve the same result.

The penultimate product for me to try was the Steve Laurent Total Repair Lip Mask. I really don’t see the point of this; hardly any serum and the thing kept falling off. Barely kept it on more than a minute coz I got bored of fiddling. Retails at £5-which is way too much.

The final product in this months box was the Bubble T Peach Bellini Hand Cream which retails for £4.99. Really not for me as I cannot stand peach scented creams. No clue as to it’s moisturising powers as it stunk too much for me to wear longer than 2 minutes. It retails for £4.99.

Overall, the February Glossybox is actually really underwhelming. Having being subscribed to them for a couple of years now, this is definitely the biggest let down so far. I’m all for lip care but 3 lip products is ridiculous. Coupled with hand cream and a bit of plastic its hardly earth shattering. The best item by a mile is the Avant lip scrub which does at least cost more than the box.
Thanks for reading. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this review and that you will join me for more in the future. Leave a like or let me know in the comments what you thought, maybe even join our mail list. Don’t forget, if you want to subscribe to GlossyBox UK use my refer a friend code by clicking here. There’s no extra cost but it could save us both pennies.
