P.Louise Makeup Academy Lip Kit First Class Boarding Pass Review

Hi lovelies,

Another P.Louise review from my Black Friday shopping binge. Yeah they’re taking a while to get through aren’t they? The 2 Boarding Pass Duos are P.Louise’s first lip formulas and are part of the Worldie Collection.

The First Class Boarding Pass Lip Kit is available from the P.Louise website (see here) and retails for £16. Afterpay and Klarna are available on P.Louise and standard UK shipping is £3.50. Dispatch and delivery is usually quite fast unless there’s a big sale then can take a week or two.

The packaging is the usual high level of cuteness, I’ve come to expect from this company. The outer box is designed to look like a boarding pass with the product information on the back and sides. There is a separator inside the box to keep the liner and lipstick from rattling about together which is great because the lipstick is quite heavy. It is definitely high quality packaging and the cap has a magnet to hold it on. The liner packaging is the standard but there is a sharpener as the bottom of the pencil.

Each lip kit comes with a retractable lip liner (shade: achievement) and a bullet lipstick (shade: Heights) to create the perfect ombre. The lip liner is a few shades darker than the lipstick and they can be used independently of each other. I think that the First Class kit contains the lighter shades. So first thing I have to say, the images on the website are NOT a good representation of the actual shades. I got First Class because it looked darker than your standard nude but it’s nowhere close. It’s quite a lot paler and is actually nude on me. Correct me if I’m wrong but the following image is brown right?Anywho, aside from that the two shades work really well together.

Both the liner and lipstick are pigmented, really creamy and feel pretty lightweight on the lips. The liner is slightly drier than the lipstick which I expect but it still applies smoothly. It doesn’t bleed outside of the lips or dry out over the course of the day making the formula perfect. I also found the liner pretty easy to blend out. The lipstick applies so smooth and as plenty of shine although it’s not sticky at all. The lipstick can overthrow the liner because of this shine but it holds up well with reblending.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this purchase despite the unexpected shade. I’m definitely intrigued by the shades in the other kit. As usual the outer packaging is gorgeous and the components well made and sturdy. There’s even a sharpener at the bottom of the liner. Both products are easy to apply and wear. The liner is a tad drier than the lipstick but both are creamy. The liner is a few shades darker than the lipstick to produce a great but easy to achieve ombre.
