Glossybox UK July Subscription Box Review

Hi lovelies,

So this one is a little later this month due to some sort of delay. Not sure what as they haven’t been bothered to tell us. I’m a little bit disappointed over Glossybox’s minimal communication particularly when big influencers are getting their boxes on time. Please take care of your PAYING customers otherwise you may not have them for long. Just keep us informed if there is an issue; not send one email halfway through the month and another a week later.

As usual the monthly direct debit was paid on the first of the month. You can sign up for a 1 month rolling subscription or a 12 month subscription with monthly payments. Works out a few pound cheaper a month on the longer one naturally. You can also pay upfront for 3 month, 6 month and 12 month subscriptions as well. Dispatch is usually on the fourth of the month with it landing at your door a few days later. They’ve been quicker to dispatch in recent months aside from the joke that is this one.

This month we have the Beauty Treasures edition featuring products to find your summer glow. We have a specially designed box with a flap lid and decorated to look like a shell covered jewelry box. It contains 5 full size products.

The first product that I tried was the Aurikah Aura Body Fragrance Mist. This retails for £20. Despite having a floral base, I really like the scent as it is more woody than flowery. It’s a relaxing, refreshing scent. It leaves your skin soft too.

The next product was the KNDR Beauty Kind Bronze Bronzer. I actually thought this one would be too dark for me but it’s a good match. It’s not hugely pigmented but the pigment can be built up easily. It blends well into the skin and works well alongside other face products. This retails for £14

The third product in this months box was the Mco Beauty Cheek and Lip Tint in the shade Flamingo Pink. This retails for £12 and is surprisingly good. Not sure about it as a lip tint but on the cheeks it is fabulous. It can be used under or over foundation depending on your preference and you barely need any to get a nice colour. It’s pretty easy to blend and can be built up for a more intense colour.

The penultimate product for me to try was the Sport FX Wipe The Day Away Makeup Remover Wipes. These are actually pretty clever as the wipes come as they come in a pair; each pair in divided individual foil packets. Oil based remover for the eye wipe and micellar water remover for the face one. Definitely use the eye one first as it is very greasy but both do a great job at removing the majority of makeup from the skin.

The final product was the Bubble T Cosmetics Foam-o Shower Steamer. This retails for £4.99 and seems to be a bath bomb for the shower. I’m not blown away by it in all honesty though it may be better used in the bath. It has some good fix but it seems wasted in the shower. The scent wasn’t very strong either. I could barely smell it and it didn’t linger at all.

There was also some chewing gum samples of the new Extra Refreshers in the flavour BubbleMint. Hate to say this but it reminds me of Juicy Fruit. It does have a whack of minty freshness that is so refreshing but the actual gum texture is like chewing rubber.

Overall, despite the delay I’m really happy with this months Glossybox.
