Kim Chi Chic Beauty Juicy Nine Virgin Mojito Palette Review

Hi lovelies,

It’s clear I’m partial to a green eyeshadow since I fell in love with this palette the moment I saw it.

The Juicy Nine Virgin Mojito palette is available to purchase from the Kim Chi Chic Beauty website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay (here). This retails for £16.50 and standard shipping is £2.50 with Beauty Bay. However, if you spend over £25 you qualify for free UK delivery.

The packaging is very on brand for Kim Chi Chic Beauty with a minimalistic, pastel design. I love that the palette and outer box have the same colours but reversed. The company logo and palette name feature prominently on the front of both with all other product information including the ingredients on the back. There’s a magnetic closure on the lid and a protective sheet over the shadows. The palette feels well made and strong while keeping a good weight for holding.

This is a 9 pan palette containing 4 matte and 5 shimmer shadows of yellows and greens. For a small palette, it’s been well thought out to provide some variety to your creations. Both the teals and yellows are a perfect match for the greens. I really love the extra attention to detail that are seen in the designs around the pans too.

It was the swatches on the KCCB Instagram that drew me to this palette and they really lived up to that. All of them swatched amazingly and felt so soft to the touch. The teal and yellow shades did need a double layer to really stand out against the shimmers but they are pigmented. The shimmers are simply stunning; full of pigment and shine. They are so shimmery in the light.

On the eye, the shadows are so easy to blend. Honestly they’re some of the easiest matte greens to work with. There’s none of the patchiness or chalkiness that I’ve seen in most green shadows. The shimmers are easily picked up using a brush and apply smoothly. They take a bit more work to blend together than the mattes but it’s still pretty easy.

The shadows are fairly long lasting-it took about 4 hours before the shimmers on the lid started to crease. Not too bad and it is an easy fix. They did transfer onto my crease slightly too so be sure to get your placement right. There was some kickback in the pan for the majority of shades but there was only minimal fallout under the eye for the shimmers.

Overall, I am so happy with this purchase from Kim Chi Chic Beauty. The Juicy Nine Mojito palette is everything it appears to be on social media. The packaging is cute, on brand and robust. The shade range allows for some variety for a 9 pan palette. The shadows themselves are bright, highly pigments and easy to blend. Some of the best green mattes I’ve used. The shimmers are gorgeous; full of pigment and sparkle.
