Hi lovelies,
More skincare for you today and surprise surprise, it came from the Boots Beauty Showstopper Box.
You can purchase the Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum from the company website (see here) as well as Boots, Cult Beauty and Look Fantastic. This retails for £5.99 for 30ml of product although for some reason Cult has it listed at £6.99. I can’t tell whether Inkey offers UK shipping but you qualify for free UK shipping on orders over £25 with the other three.

The packaging is quite simplistic and fairly standard for a serum. The outer box has a black and white design and contains all product information including ingredients as well as how, when and where in your routine this is used. The serum is in a plastic bottle with a snap top for dispensing. The cap feels secure enough and doesn’t appear to leak. All packaging is recyclable too which I love.

According to the product description, this is an easily absorbed serum that works to hydrate your skin. It targets dry and dehydrated skin but it is suitable for all skin types. The 2% hyaluronic formula penetrates multiple levels of the skin to give deep hydration. There’s also a Matrixyl 3000 peptide to help the skin appear smooth and plump while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

This has an almost gel like consistency. It’s not quite a liquid serum but it is runnier than a gel. It makes it a lot easier to get a small amount out of the bottle. It applies more like a liquid, easily dispersed around the face and absorbing into the skin within a minute leaving no residue. You don’t need to use much for good coverage so it should last a while.

To be honest, the only difference I’ve really noticed is around my eyes. The skin under them feels hydrated and so much softer than before I started using this. I also see less texture there especially when wearing makeup. Other than that, nothing. I’ve not had any issues when using this product either.

Overall, a little bit meh about this product from Inkey List. I’m not seeing much evidence of it’s use so I’m hoping there’s something good happening at a deeper level. Although the packaging is kind of basic and industry standard I really like it. The bottle is secure and fully recyclable. I have noticed the skin around my eyes is looking more hydrated and feels softer with less texture.
