BPerfect Cosmetics x Stacey Marie MUA Carnival III Love Tahiti Palette Review

Hi lovelies,

I finally picked up the third installment of the BPerfect and StacieMarie MUA collaboration. Not going to lie, this didn’t really excite me when it was first released. However, it has slowly grown on me over time.

The Carnival III Love Tahiti palette is available from the BPerfect website (see here) as well as Beauty Bay (here) and Superdrug (here). It retails for £36.95. You qualify for free UK delivery on orders over £40 with BPerfect and £25 with Beauty Bay and Superdrug. Orders from Beauty Bay will be with you in a few days while Superdrug can take up to a week. Not sure about BPerfect shipping.

The packaging design is a little different for this one. Instead of the plain black design of the last two, this one features a black and white geometric design with foliage. Both the outer box and palette have the same design with all product details including the ingredients on the back. There’s also a plan of the shades on the back too. The palette is well made and has a good weight to it although it is quite large in size.

This is a 40 pan palette featuring all new shades that really do compliment the previous installment. This contains 31 vibrant mattes, 4 duo-shift pressed pigments, 3 metallics and 2 high pigment shimmers. The shade range is so versatile with a large variety of colours and tones. The pans are a decent size and most brushes will fit.

When doing the swatches, the mattes were a little disappointing to tell the truth. They felt very hard pressed and needed two layers to get a smooth, even and pigmented swatch. The shimmers on the other hand were gorgeous and easy to swatch. They felt soft to the touch and swiped evenly, full of pigment and shine. It’s clear there are different finishes among them.

On the eye, the shadows performed like I originally expected them too. They are pigmented and vibrant in colour while being easy to blend. Naturally some pigment is lost during blending but the shadows build up again without any patchiness. The shade range allows for some gorgeous gradient blends to be created. The shimmers do have differences in behavior on the eye but it’s only slight. Some crease easier than others and some need more building to get the full reflect effect. However, all are fairly easy to apply and blend and look stunning on the eye. I particularly love the shades Vanilla, Pearl and Tahiti Green.

A little bit gutting that some of the shimmer and metallics creased after an hour or two of wear but the rest lasted a few hours. There’s a fair amount of kickback in the pan for the majority of shades and some fallout under the eye with the shimmers and the darker mattes. There’s also been some slight staining to the skin for the red based shades but its gone after a day.

Overall, I am really happy with the Carnival III Love Tahiti Palette from BPerfect. As the third installment of the Stacey Marie MUA collaboration it lives up to the expectations set by the previous. The packaging has a more colourful design that I love and is well made. The shade range is amazingly versatile while not repeating a shade from the carnival xl pro. It can be used alone but compliments the other palettes so a huge range of looks can be produced. The shades are highly pigmented and are easy to apply and blend. The shimmers are also stunning but do need topping up regularly.
