Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moituriser Review

Hi lovelies,

I know Elemis isn’t exactly an affordable brand but I got a sample and I know y’all want to try before you buy at these prices….

The Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser is available from the company website (see here) as well as Look Fantastic (here) and FeelUnique (here). This is available in 2 sizes: 60ml for £40 and 20ml for £17. You get free UK delivery as standard with Elemis and on orders over £20 with FeelUnique and £25 with Look Fantastic. Sorry I can’t give you any more information on delivery but I haven’t shopped with any of these companies.

The two different sizes come in completely different packaging. The full size item comes in a bottle with a pipette nozzle complete with an outer box. The travel item comes in a squeezable tube with a screw cap that is quite secure. All product information including the ingredients can be found on the back of the tube (and probably the outer box too).

According to the product description, this silicone free moisturiser is a three-in-one product. It primes, moisturises and highlights for a smooth and radiant complexion. It is formulated with Kombucha Black Tea and Ginger to naturally brighten the skin and contains illuminating micominerals to reflect light for a dewy glow. It also contains Fermented Green Tea Seed Oil to nourish the skin and protect the microbiology of the skin.

Before use

The moisturiser has a medium consistency so it’s easy to get out of the tube and to apply. It does have a fragrance though it’s not overpowering and it doesn’t linger. It absorbs into the skin in a couple of minutes leaving no residue on the skin. It left my skin feeling softer and looking brighter in general. After application there is definitely an added glow that isn’t overly unnatural though it does highlight uneven texture more than I’d like. It works well as a primer too as it doesn’t negatively impact makeup application and helps keep it in place for longer. I’ve not had any issues using this moisturiser but I don’t have sensitive skin.

After use

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the Superfood Glow Moisturiser from Elemis though I’m not entirely sure I want to pay their prices. At least travel versions are optional. The packaging is adequate and it’s easy to dispense the product. It easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving no residue The moisturiser does a great job at nourishing and brightening the skin in general but you definitely see more of a radiant glow after application. It can highlight uneven texture more but it works well underneath makeup.
