Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Cream Review

Hi lovelies,

Is anyone actually missing Glossybox? I’m not sure if I am though I do miss the monthly delivery.

The Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Cream is available from the company website (see here) as well as from Beauty Bay, Boots and Cult Beauty. This comes in a 50ml tube or a 15ml travel tube that retail for £30 and £12 respectively. You get free UK delivery on orders over £30 with Dr Jart+ and on orders over £25 for the other three. Having never shopped direct from Dr Jart+ I’m not sure what their delivery times are like but Beauty Bay will deliver in 2-3 days; about a week for Boots and Cult Beauty.

The packaging looks to be the same for both sizes. There’s an outer box coloured yellow and white that contains all product information including the ingredients on the back and sides. The tube itself is foiled with a screw cap rather than the usual thin plastic. Everything feels good quality and well made and the tube doesn’t leak.

According to the product description, this is a smooth and nourishing cream that provides immediate comfort for dull, dry skin. It locks in moisture to provide deep moisturisation and leaves the skin feeling smooth and supple. It’s been specially formulated with Dr Jart+’s own derma fusion of ceramides to help strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier. This has been dermatologically tested.

The cream has quite a thick consistency though it is really easy to get out of the tube. Malleable packaging helps. It has a fairly strong scent too but it’s not unpleasant and seems natural. To be fair, I can’t see any perfume listed in the ingredients. You don’t need to use more than a pea sized amount but be sure to dot it around the skin as it doesn’t spread too well. It absorbs into the skin within a minute however it did leave a greasy feel to my skin that I didn’t really like. My skin definitely looked more hydrated and felt softer overall after several uses. But I’m still not sure. There’s something about it that I don’t like. Maybe it’s just not right for my skin type as I’m oily not dry.

Before use

Overall, I’m kind of mixed over the Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Cream. It definitely provides deep moisturisation and the benefits to the skins moisture barrier are always needed. However, I’m just not sure it’s for me. Although it absorbed quickly, it left a greasy residue behind that didn’t feel great. However that might just be my skin type because once that went my skin felt soft.
